I try to keep my carbs under 125g per day. Almost all of these carbs are from fruits and vegetables, or whole grain flat bread. Is there any link between carbs consumed and weight loss? I try to keep eating all the healthy veggies etc, but I am kinda unsure of fruits, so I stick with low carb ones such as strawberries and peaches. Can you guys share you daily carb intake, weight, height etc? Thank you so much

I get about 60% of my calories from carbohydrates, so right now that's about 200-220 a day on average (some days more, some less). I'm about 110 pounds, 5'4. I never had any problem losing weight while eating plenty of carbohydrates - it always came down to the calories I consumed. Now that I'm maintaining, it's the same way.

You can lose weight on a high, moderate, or low carbohydrate diet. IMO, the only reason to limit carbohydrates (other than medical reasons) is because it makes it easier for you to meet your calorie goal and you enjoy eating that way (which it does for some people, but not for everyone).

As mentioned, you can lose weight eating any carb amount, however carb amounts can help with fullness, workout performance and adherence.

Just for fun since you asked, I am 5'7", 132lbs, 200-400g carbs per day. I also eat all kinds of carbs.. bread, pasta, rice, fruit, vegetables, candy, treats, desserts etc.

I eat all the carbs I want and have lost 50 lbs. It really doesn’t matter how few or how many carbs you’re eating.
