Jog/walk intervals

I've walked three marathons in the past year, and I'm looking to increase my pace by incorporating some jogging into the mix.
I'm fairly new to jogging, but I've completed C25K and can jog for 40-minute intervals at a stretch.
I've been doing interval training on my long training workouts, starting with a 1:2 ratio (1 min jog + 2 min walk) and progressively making the intervals longer. I'm currently doing intervals of 4 min jog + 3 min walk.
If I want to go to a 2:1 ratio for distance training, am I better off with 4 min jog + 2 min walk, or 2 min jog + 1 min walk? I'm weighing the physical and psychological benefits of fewer sets vs. more frequent breaks.

I try and go with a 5 minute jog/2 minute walk.
I don't think there is one way better then the other..0
