Thawed chicken breast weight

Hi so I've been counting macros of my frozen chicken breast that's wrapped in zipplock by leaving it in water in the morning and measuring it once ready, my question is what's more accurate? Leaving chicken in water and then measuring or leaving chicken out without water in morning? Does the weight change or its the same thing?

Weigh the chicken once it has defrosted. It probably won't be much different to what it weighs frozen, but defrosted is the most accurate as that's what'll be going in to your meal.1

Well first, I wouldn't let chicken thaw in water or not...thaw it overnight in the refrigerator.
I weigh my chicken frozen because the packaging nutrition is for "frozen." But I don't think there should be a big difference in the same piece when thawed. I never thaw it, I just cook it right out of the freezer.0
