Bathroom scales reset

Hi everyone! I have a few questions.

In the past, my bathroom scales have been showing 2 different weight readings 2 times in a row so I was wondering if I did the right thing by resetting them?

When should I be resetting my bathroom scales?

If I've already reset my scales will I be having any further problems with them or not?
If that helps I have the Weight Watchers WW58A bathroom scales.
