I am doing well with the fitness app. Down 20lbs in less than a month. However, trying to switch to ALL keto... which I have been doing well at just by keto grocery list and looking up keto meals before I cook them but... the macro calculator confuses me??? It says I should consume almost 3000 in calories... why so high? I am trying to lose weight not gain it???

Suggest you recheck your profile and goals set up - selected the right units? (kg or lbs)
Entered your stats correctly?
Once you have done that what rate of weight loss have you selected?3 -
^agree with that. I suspect there is some error in your profile set up1

Losing 20lb in less than a month sounds like you've got something set incorrectly if you've been eating the calories recommended by MFP and have been logging and eating back any exercise calories, per MFP's design. The max suggested rate is 2lb a week and even that's only really applicable for those who are morbidly obese. You don't say how much you need to lose but, regardless, it sounds like you're not eating enough.0

The first month of dieting, even without keto, is often high losses from reductions in food volume,
and adjustments to water retention from sodium. Add in keto where you are depleting glycogen and water, and its pretty common to see large losses.3 -
Hello all. My question is. On keto when counting carbs to get your total you minus the dietary fiber and that gives you the total carbs right? Although when placing a item in the food log it does not do or for you. So do I just add exactly what's on the label and leave it as is? Or should I manually subtract and keep count of carbs that way?0

This is exactly why on keto I prefer to use carb manager. It does the calculation for you0
