Reducing bloating by going gluten free

I am already on a plant based diet but am experimenting with cutting out gluten to see if I can reduce a little bloating I have. Has anyone seen good results with this?
I have been doing this for a week and feel slightly less full after meals for sure.
I am hoping it might also help me to feel less watery in my midsection and tighter.
Any other gluten free folk who have had success especially gluten free vegans?
