Where's the fun in that? I think limiting cocktails only to weekends is not a bad strategy.3 -
I know that a lot of folks can maintain by banking cals for the weekends but I am one of those "don't want to open up that pandora's box types". I prefer to keep a steady state but I also have zero social life. LOL. (does anyone have a social life these days?)6

This is one of those threads that really needs a “haha” button. All you guys are funny. Cheers!4

In a pandemic, what's a "social life"? And in retirement, what's a "weekend"?
Otherwise, sure, that seems pretty true.
More seriously: Social life (when no pandemic) or no social life (pandemic), (1) I'm a calorie banker for life, I think; and (2) I'm not enthusiastic about giving up cocktails or craft beer, particularly the latter, unless some health condition says I must. I'm not a heavy hitter in that department, don't short-change nutrition for alcohol, and fit it in my calories. I don't see how that's a big problem. 🤷♀️4
