FT40 or FT60

I am considering upgrading my FT4, which I love, but it is older and doesn't have some of the newer features the other watches have.

I am looking for opinions from people who have either the FT40 or the FT60, and especially from those who have both, on if you could get only one, which would you go for? I am so torn between the two because of the features they offer. I love that the FT6o has OwnZone, but is it worth the extra money over the FT40?

  • If I were in the market now, I would wait. Or buy something cheap in the short term.

it seems like there are some pretty exciting products coming from the likes of Apple and Samsung that should have a big impact in the fitness world.

Which products specifically so I can look into them? Not really looking for Apple products as I do not have (nor intend to) any other Apple products that would be compatible. I have android phone. I don't really need the ability to sync with phone as long as I can upload to computer :)
  • I had the old one, upgraded a few years ago to FT80. Itall depends on what you want. The FT80 is sufficient for my needs... at least until I beat it totally into the ground as I did my old one. (As in, watch crystal was so scratched you couldn't read it any more.)
  • Also very curious to see what Samsung and Apple have coming. Please share any details.

With Apple are you talking about the iwatch that is rumored?

More curious about Samsung though, I'm a PC guy and have s3 phone. Then again Samsung isn't my favorite company right now. My stupid phone is supposed to have bluetooth 4.0, but it does not in fact support it even though it is right on the box. Leaves me using an old wearlink HRM specifically for android, which is more expensive for a older model vs the newer more feature packed BT 4.0 models.
