I had the Inspire HR, and just a little over a year, it took a crap the other day. This is my second fitbit in 2 years. Apparently the Apple watch doesn't link up to MFP, so I am going to purchase a third fitbit. They offered me a discount and free shipping. I am torn between the Charge 3, and the Versa 2. Is it worth the extra money to jump to the "watch"? Does it last any longer than the trackers?

I think its hit or miss. My first Fitbit was the Fitbit One, since December 2013, was a Fitbit One and it still works. Though I have to charge it every other night, while the battery used to last longer. Within that year my family all got Fitbits and my daughter's Flex was replaced almost immediately under warranty because it would not hold a charge.

I also have the Ionic which I've used for 2 1/2 years and it works fine also. I had the Charge 2 briefly then passed it on to a relative when the Ionic came out.

There is no guarantee how long any device will last. So I'd say research the features of each option and consider what you'd like, what you'd use, etc. I like the Ionic but as long as it works I won't replace it. There are features I don't use, like being able to store music on the device. I always keep my phone on me anyhow. I do like being able to change the watch 'face' from time to time. It has GPS tracking (does not need a phone linked for that) and heart rate.
