I'll start by saying I'm hoping I'm making sense explaining all of this.
4 years ago, I started off at 255ish lb. I remember what I saw in the mirror and how I looked. No muscle, just fat everywhere. I lost around 35 lb in 6 months that year (plateud and gave up).
Fast forward to 2020, I'm up to 295lb. I've lost over 30lb in 2.5 months and now at 264, I feel how I felt at like 230. I workout 4-5 times a week, cardio and weight training. Am I crazy to think my body looks better at 264lb than at 240-255 when I was doing absolutely nothing? How does that work?

2 years ago i was the weight i am now at 225lbs, i felt gross and uncomfortable because i WAS 135lbs.
When i hit 262 i started losing, and im at 225lbs as i said and i feel much better, i feel more confident and have better energy and im happy.
Its not in your mind, when you work on yourself and achieve things, your self confidence improves and happiness comes from positive actions.
Its also a powerful motivator to keep going.5 -
Well, you've got a couple things. You lost a good deal of weight very quickly so you skin hasnt had time to adjust. Also, generally you lose more lean mass the fast you lose overall weight. And your mind may need to adjust to what you look like now.1

Given that you now have some muscle, where before you had none, it isn't surprising that you feel and look better than you did before, even with the higher weight. Keep it up!1

A sense of accomplishment tweaks our neural reward center?
Much respect, and carry on the good work!1
