Hey everyone hope everyones doing fine. I just finished month 1 and recovery week of the insanity workout. About to start month 2 today! Ive come down from 97.7kg to 93.5kg! Very happy about that. The thing puzzling me though is that my measurements don't seem to change that much. During month 1, I've lost 1 inch off my chest, 0.5 inches off my biceps, and 1 inch off my waist, thighs, and hips. is something wrong here or what. Ive tried to measure as accurately as possible. Can anyone please help explain this!! Thank you and stay safe y'all!!

Losing weight is like peeling an onion, layer by layer. You don't just lose weight in only a few spots, fat loss happens from head to to toe. Just keep going!6

How many inches did you expect to lose? It seems like you did quite well in that area (to me)?3

Yeah to the onion analogy. Imagine taking a 4.2kg hunk of butter, lard, or solid coconut oil. Now, flatten it out to the size of your skin surface. It's a good bit of weight, but it's not all that thick. Also, if people have visceral fat - inside the body cavity - they may lose that first. Since it's believed to be the most health-harmful kind, that would be a good thing to lose, even if doesn't much affect external appearance, right?
Losing a whole inch off several measurements in a month sounds really good, to me.
Don't be discouraged because it isn't what reality TV shows, IG "fitness influencers", blogs or magazine covers have led you to imagine: They're going for drama, clicks, likes and magazine sales, not sustainability and health.
