How do i post pictures to status updates?

It appears on my phone the only way I can add a photo is on my profile or during a weigh in... Is there a way to post photos to status updates?

I have Android - not sure if the Ios app is different.

In the app when I press + and Update Status, there is a field in the top half of the screen to type. And right below this, above my on screen keyboard, is text that says Add Photo. If I click Add Photo, I can do so.

I post pictures with status updates but cant upload pictures into forum posts unless I log on from the website instead of the app
