Hey all, I’m pretty down about this all right now but I’m here for motivation and help. For about 4 months I had been on a nice diet with daily exercise and I was loving it. I felt nice, I was finally starting to see results. I went on a family vacation about 2 weeks ago, and ever since then the diet has been completely messed up, I don’t exercise even close to as much anymore and I am therefore starting to see my results disappear, literally. I can see my progress fading away and not only is it extremely un motivating to see that, I just can’t seem to figure out why I can’t get back on track. I go to the fridge and eat a bunch, and when I start I can’t stop. I really want to get back on track with my diet any exercise, I want to start NOW, not tomorrow or the next day, right now. Please if anyone has their own personal tips and tricks please leave it in the comments. I’ll take all the suggestions and help I can possibly get now. Again I can actually see the difference in the mirror and it’s making me really upset.

Using this app and literally tracking everything so I'm accountable for every calorie and have to face what I eat. That's been the biggest thing thats kept me going and motivated so far (46 days). Sorry you're in a rutt. It's hard when our mind fights against us. Getting a fitbit has kept me motivated too

My Fitbit is only useful to me for heart rate and sleep monitoring. I weigh and track everything I eat though, even if I go way over. It keeps me honest and helps me spot trends and turn them around.

It sounds like exercising helped you feel better. I feel great when I exercise and I focus on that whenever I start to feel lazy.

Are you logging what you’re eating? Or never mind since you already “blew it” so maybe tomorrow?

If you aren’t logging-start there. Log everything-no matter how much or what you eat. Your body is keeping track. It doesn’t have on track or off track settings. It only does calorie math. So you might as well know what is happening.

If you have a moment where you are feeling motivated, sit down and pre-log your food for a few days. I find pre-logging really helps get me back on track or used to a new goal. Right now I am pre-logging my ideal day, and then also have an appropriate snack in mind I am willing to add in if I happen to really need it. For some reason I don't struggle to stick to my pre-logged plan, but I trip up alot more when I am winging it. It eliminiates alot of anxiety over eating for me, I often find I am hungry, but not sure if I should eat or it will mess up my day. When I am pre-logged I know what I can eat and that it's ok to do it.
