Started July 29, 2020. Top weight a few months ago was 230.00. Today I am at 220.2. Day 3 without alcohol. So I have multiple goals here. So far, getting to sleep is a bit of a challenge, but last night was not too bad. Walked 1 mile to burn118 calories yesterday for the first time. I found that a Carnation Instant Breakfast with high protein and a glass of V8 for breakfast is very filling and not a lot of calories. Bologna sandwich for lunch and 4 hours later I am not hungry in the least.

Going to set some personal goals for myself to deal with my free time now that I am not consuming large quantities of alcohol. Pick up my guitar daily. Start riding my bike. Do leather craft again. Read more.

I know some of this has to do with alcohol, but it is all intertwined for me.

    Hey!

I just wanted to say how awesome it is that you're taking these steps. Quitting alcohol has completely changed my life as well. A real eye-opener.

I started my weight loss with the Atkins shakes and simply reduced how much I was eating. Mainly slowing down on high-sodium and high-carb foods and I'm almost 50lbs lighter than I was last year this time just from doing that.

Everything you're saying sounds very familiar so I thought I should let you know you're not alone. Also if you need something to focus on you could ook into meal planning. It's a fantastic time killer!

    Good luck!
