Not losing inches

I am very discouraged. I have been losing a good amount of weight according to the scale, but according to the measuring tape I’m not losing that many inches and it is discouraging. What could be causing that?

How much is, "a good amount of weight and not that many inches?"
Try taking pictures of the exact spot(s) you're using for your tape measure. Otherwise it's hard to get the same spot every time.
Resistance training (weights) is generally the fastest way to lose inches combined with your calorie deficit.2 -
Touche. I googled it my expectations are too high!!
It feels like this should come off immediately I am working so hard I should see results quickly. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. Sorry for posting to quickly, bad habit.5 -
We do live in the age of unrealistic expectations and instant gratification.
No worries, I have to slow my mind down many times a day, too.3 -
Congratulations on the weight loss. The inch loss will come (slowly, as you have now discovered!). I have heard that a general rule of thumb is that it takes losing a stone (14lb/6.3 kg) to lose a dress size.2

Your diet.
Eat clean and make everything yourself. Weigh everything out. Not sure what kind of workout regimen you're doing but include weightlifting.0
