Sync a watch

I’m new to this and need to sync my DA FIT watch. Can anyone help or should I just add the steps/ calories from the watch manually into “my fitness pal” app ? Please help x

From your phone app, go into "More" Then "Steps" Then change your device to the qualified product. If you signed up for FitBit, you have to add Fitbit to the Apps tab to begin syncing.0

Not every device has syncing available. If yours isn't on the list, then you won't be able to sync it.
I would be cautious about simply adding all your steps as activity on MFP because MFP assumes you are already walking *some* as part of the activity level that you provided when setting up your goals. If you log all your daily steps, then you'll be double-dipping and counting some of your steps twice (the exact number you'd be counting twice will depending on what you set your activity level as).0 -
I don't even see their software app, or another compatible one, as claiming to sync with anything else that could even eventually make it's way into MFP.
You'll have to go create a storm of people to go get DA interested in adding ability to sync to 3rd parties.
Just to be clear - that is NOT asking MFP to sync with DA, wrong side of request.
Must go to DA that holds the key to the data, to convince them to spend money on sending that data to MFP via already available API's.1 -
If you cant sync with MFP your watch can still be helpful. I don't have my watch synced to MFP, I prefer to use the TDEE method since it works better for my brain. I just keep an eye on my calories burned from my watch, and if my 7 day average daily calorie burn changes I make sure I change my MFP goal with it. If you have any questions about goal setting myself of lots of other users can help you out.0

What you can do with device in meantime is track 2 week average of your non-exercise days and your total daily burned calories.
Divide that by your BMR as shown in MFP Apps section.
Now you have an activity factor - 1.something
Now pick an MFP Activity level that is close to that.
Sedentary or Not very active is 1.25.
Lightly active 1.4.
Active 1.6
Very Active 1.75
Once that is done for your non-workout days - then log your workouts only on MFP per calories the device reported.1
