Anyone know what the difference between these USDA entries for ground beef are?

In particular, I'm confused about what the differences are between the beef types (crumbles and patty) and also the cooking types: broiled, pan-broiled, and pan-browned.

Crumbles and patty should be pretty self-explanatory

Crumbles would be crumbled or ground meat and a patty would be a patty. Lol
