Starting Ripped in 30 -- What to expect?

I am finishing the 30 Day Shred tonight and starting Ripped in 30 tomorrow. I have a love/hate relationship with Jillian as most people do.

These are my thoughts on the shred... Level 1 of the shred pushed me to places I never imagined; Level 2 almost killed me, still not sure how I survived; I loved Level 3. I remember a time when I had to pause level 1 to catch my breath. When butt kicks killed me. When I couldn't continuously jump rope. Now I can do the double jumps with ease, jumping jacks are just a warm up and the pause button is a distant memory. I can't believe how much this program has changed my body's ability to move. I love it.

What should I expect starting Ripped in 30? Is it painfully more challenging or around the same level, but a bit above? I never thought I could keep up with an at home program, but I love the freedom of working out in my home. I'm hoping to start Insanity after I complete Ripped in 30 :D

Thanks everyone!

It is the same concept as 30D shred (3/2/1), it has 4 levels instead of 3.
It's harder than 30DS in my opinion.

Level 1 and 2 might be comparable to Level 2 and 3 of 30DS
Level 3 might put you in cardiac arrest. I found it to be very hard.
Level 4 wasn't as bad as level 3, maybe less cardio, but it will make you suffer :) Count on having sore muscles every time you change levels

It's a great program too and expect to see results after finishing it.

Maybe if you found Ri30 to be very hard, you could do another round of 30DS till you feel 'comfortable' doing level 3, i.e. not needing to stop the DVD every 10 mins. because Ri30 is much more challenging

its similar, i found some moves harder and others easier. i kinda like that there was 4 levels though.

It is very similar, in fact some of the moves are the same. Im not sure what it was about RI30 but I hated it! I loved the shred and saw great results but could never get into ripped. I finished the programme but it took me ages and I don't think ill be doing it again. Jillian is far more annoying in ripped as well as she keeps putting her face up to the camera and talking rubbish. It drove me mad!
Good luck with it and I hope you have a better experience than I did!
