Scale going down but inches increasing.

Hi there, any advice or insight on why the scale is going down but I've put on inches after 5 weeks.
Background on me, I am 31 year old woman, currently weighing 256 pounds, down 24 pounds so far. I didn't take body measurements at the start, but 5 weeks ago I took my weight and body measurements and in that time frame of 5 weeks, I lost 6 pounds but gained half an inch everywhere, apart from my waist which has stayed the same.
I do home resistance band/dumbbell workouts, 3x a week and 1 cardio, usually interval training and get out for walks (following a 12 week programme). I'm tracking and eating 1800 calories according to myfitness pal.
I know with body types different exercises work for different types, I would fall under endomorph and read about prioritising cardio but I am really into strength training, first exercise I have found that I love and stick to and I want to build muscle and become strong and healthy and keep the weight off. I am more than happy for the slow and steady wins the race approach as weightloss is pointless if I can't keep it off but want some advice if this is perhaps part of the process or I am doing something wrong that I should change up. I am new to all this and knowledge is power so trying to get as educated as I can. Thank you!

Measuring with a tape measure is not easy to get right every time unless you hit the same exact spot each time, Sometimes the body fluctuate in size because of water retention. As long as the scale is telling you that you are losing, then you are good. In another 5 weeks try measuring yourself again. Also, an easier way is how your clothes are fitting you. Are they looser?

I'm going to guess it's a mix of measurement error (not measuring at the exact same spot) and perhaps some water retention from the resistance workouts. Are the other spots you are measuring likely places for slightly swollen muscles from exercise? Arms, thighs,...? Not 'bony' spots like wrists, knees,...?
Since you're losing weight, I don't see many other options than that, I doubt you have a problem2 -
@L1zardQueen is right on. Measurements change slowly with weight, fluctuate, and are a bit innacurate. But, they will change if you can keep up the good work!
As for exercise: it's all good! Do whatever you like the most! Seize the day!1 -

Thank you, I appreciate your advice, I would say T shirts are fitting better but jeans just about the same as far as I can tell.
