Newbie.....KINDA

I'm not exactly a newbie to MFP. I joined about 6 years ago, but I've never been "honest" or "consistent". I would log foods and exercises randomly, sometimes leaving out the bowl of ice cream or the double pack of M&M's. Then I would look at my report that said I should drop 5-10 pounds by a certain date.....Right? I want this time to be different. I am hoping that I can turn it around by reaching out and finding "friends" that are facing the same struggles and celebrating successes.
I'm 67 years old and I've probably tried every diet known to man over the years. It seems I'm always on a diet, and I'm still overweight by about 50 pounds. I'm looking forward to hearing from others who have encouraging words or advice for my wellness journey.
