Hey All!
I was just wondering if anybody eats little and often? At the minute I eat 3 meals a day and have snacks....To be honest this is the first time in my life that I feel I am eating properly and making good choices..but after the meal I eat I am hungry like 2 hours after! Proper stomach rumbling hungry!! Why is this and what can I do to stop it happening? Would eating little and often prevent it? Am I eating the wrong things?
Im really trying to go for a lifestyle change here and want to do it in the best way possible...I think my diary is open so feel free to have a look
Thanks
Shona

What are you having for meals? Good fats and proteins stay in the stomach longer and keep you satisfied.Low GI foods also keep your blood sugar levels steadier so you don't get peaks and troughs which leave you hungry, so make sure snacks are healthy. Also, make sure you're drinking enough as thirst is often mistaken for hunger.0

I would give larger, less frequent meals a shot.
I tried 6 meals a day a few years ago, all it did was make me hungry all the time.0 -
Reduce your carbs and have more protein and healthy fat. I stopped being hungry when I had more protein. Have some protein every single time you snack or eat.0

Your meals look fine. If you want to have an extra snack in between them, that's fine too. You have the calories to spare. I think your protein and fats are ok... maybe a bit more protein would help though.0

It's ok to meet your net calories. I see that you're always under a few hundred calories. If you're worried that you will over eat, I like 100 calorie popcorn snack bags or like 100 cal almond packs. The popcorn takes longer for me to eat though, so that's why I like it. I get the satisfaction of getting something in my stomach and the mental satisfaction that I actually ate something rather than feel like I just inhaled it and looking for something else to stick in my mouth.0

Protein helps me out... I also eat like 5 or 6 times a day.. 3 meals and 3 snacks...0

I glanced at your diary and while today is a little low in calories, the past few before looked pretty good to me. Are you drinking enough? That really can help.
Have you always eaten breakfast? I know most people preach it being very important but it just makes me hungry all day. I rarely get hungry before 10:30 and often not until 1:00 or so. So, I don't eat until I get hungry, then I have plenty of calories for later. Doesn't work for everyone, but then, what does?0
