The default settings on this site are based on good sound nutrition...

Is there a problem with those for some reason? I lost 80 pounds after menopause and with hypothyroidism, using pretty much those macros. Macros aren't really as important as calories.

Log food, stay in calories, get a little exercise. :)

Here's the blog post about it:

Seconded, what cmriverside said, from another post-menopausal, severely hypothyroid (but properly medicated) person, who before weight loss had high blood pressure and high cholesterol (among other bad stuff). Lost weight (about 50 pounds, obese to healthy weight), eating close to default macros; it worked fine. I've now been at a healthy weigh for 4+ years since, after about 3 previous decades of obesity. No issues now with blood pressure or cholesterol, all solidly normal, even low normal.
