Howdy folks I just joined today. I've got 129 pounds more to lose, and have been dieting for about a month, and so far have lost about 15 pounds. I use a Fitbit and I find it extremely useful, and I am currently on the Mediterranean diet.

I started the Mediterranean diet because I am 59 years old and I want to make sure I am optimal health case I catch the coronavirus. As a side effect I noticed I was losing weight! That may be very excited, so I decided to embrace the whole weight loss thing. I stand 5 foot six and weighed 269 pounds.

Anyway I thought joining a support group of some kind would be helpful so I chose this since it is somewhat related to the Fitbit.

Welcome, I have been on and off MFP for several years now. I am 61 and decided to get serious about my weight now for my health in general and COVID specifically. Like you, I want to be as healthy as I can be should I catch it despite being careful. I am not following a specific plan, just healthy eating -1200 calories and trying to exercise at least 5 days per week. I know I do best when I track and hold myself accountable. I have lost 6 pounds in the last few weeks. Good luck, I know you can do this.

Hi. I have been on MFP for a number of years, but just came back after being away for a while. I'm 41 and was an athlete throughout most of my life (gymnast, martial arts, basketball). Kinda fell away from it when my (now teenage) daughters were young. Now I'm trying to slim down and tone up to get back in shape. Glad to have you here. It can seem daunting, but once you get comfortable with a food and fitness routine that works for you, it gets much easier. Good luck on your journey!
