    Struggle: Bit of a struggle limiting something sweet at the end of the day, as in I can't seem to stop at just one piece of chocolate or one biscuit and more than once went overboard. Not sure what sets it all off, but I'll try to eat more during the day of healthy foods, particularly fats and see if that helps.
    Success: I've been doing yoga daily and gradually increasing my steps so burning more calories and feeling more fit!

    Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My average weight is a bit up again this week, though that's mostly due to yesterday and today with a huge TOM weight gain, so I'm not too worried about it. I had three restaurant meals between yesterday and today, so that will likely have a bit of an impact on the scale in the coming days as well. I've got a 4 mile walk planned in a few days, and hope to be able to fit in another outdoor activity near the end of next week too.

    Successes/struggles: We were away in the motorhome last week, the weather was a bit wet so didn’t get a lot of exercise, and had two days of driving for several hours. So, weight spiked a bit but the trend is still good.

    It’s my birthday later this month so I have a few celebrations planned. Going away with family this coming weekend.

    Success/Struggles: This week I've gotten back on track with daily exercise. Struggling with my sleep habits - have been staying up late for no good reason, which means I'm tired in the morning, and not getting up when I should. This pushes my day out, losing time to inefficiency. Just got to keep working on it :)

    Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week:
    I find keeping my activity up is tiring. I try to do at least a half hour of exercise each day. Mostly chair aerobics during covid as the pool where I do water aerobics with physical therapist has only been open a month since lockdown in March. They closed in August again due to rising numbers of tests being positive and a lot of people who use this pool are in risk groups.
    On the positive side I have been able to maintain my weight. Gained a little while on vacation but I have lost most of that now.

    Hi! My name is Kristen. And I struggle to maintain my weight. I have had great success losing/gaining, but I'm hoping this group helps me be more accountable. I weigh only 1x week on Sundays, so that's when I'll check in. My 2 goals in 2020 are to not let the scale go above 153 and weigh in EVERY Sunday for the WHOLE YEAR. This seems easy to most, but I get lazy and make excuses why I don't need to weigh in and then all of a sudden everything in my closet has shrunk. LOL

    Success/Struggles: Like @speyerj, my weight been coming down, although exercise burn is lower. It’s cooler & temperature seems to effect my water retention. Curious to see what happens when I’m walking again. I miss my walks.

    Many of our favorite camping & hiking locations have been destroyed and/or damaged. Forests are such a love of mine. But I have navigated all of this well, and I know Nature is resilient. I am proud I didn’t dive into eating (I’ll admit it was tempting as there’s just SO much.) But I know food won’t help. And that’s my success this week.

    @mtaratoot - Hello neighbor! I'm in the Portland Metro area. We had orange sky last week, but since Thursday it's thick foggy smoke. Air Quality Index is hazardous. Although this is stressing me out, I need to keep reminding myself - I still have my home. Others have not been so lucky. This smoke will pass. I hope you are taking care of yourself and staying indoors.

    Success/Struggles: First week of September I had WAY too much fun, specifically Labor Day weekend. Ate and drank. A lot. Weight shot up expectedly, but came off quickly. I mean, really quickly after I buckled down last week. I’m down 3 lbs just for the average, and below my maintenance range. So time to up the calories again and try to level off.

    I think with summer winding down I won’t be going out as much since the patios are starting to get colder and colder and darker and darker earlier. I’ll have to be a little more “responsible” and up my calories the old fashioned way instead of be a gluttonous pig on the weekends!

    Checking in a day later than usual. I was away over the weekend, with family. It was planned 15 months ago and luckily we were able to go ahead. The “rule of 6” over here in the UK started today, they went home on Sunday so that the children could go to school. The holiday resort we were at was affected – the café was only take-away, the swimming pool and other indoor activities were closed. But we had hot tubs and bicycles and lots of good food including birthday cake.
    So, a spike in weight today, but I’m back on track now.

    I usually report in on Monday but forgot. I live just north of Seattle and our air has been "unhealthily for all" so not as bad as Portland but still awful. It messes with my head. I feel so bad for those who have lost their homes, crops, properties, and animals. I am finally settling down, not as anxious, and getting back into routines.

    I’m trying to lose a bit to get back to 70 kg so that running isn't such a struggle, but I’m still happy otherwise at around 75 kg.

    I’m experimenting with seeing how my satiety levels are in relation to the types of foods I eat. Trying to eat more whole foods, which I’ve been getting pretty good at, and less sugar, and it’s going quite well.


    Struggle of the week: My sore hip got worse yesterday which means more rest is required.

    Success of the week: Big drop in weight thanks partly due to ceasing taking Meloxicam, and partly due to several days under calorie goal.

    Hi! My name is Kristen. And I struggle to maintain my weight. I have had great success losing/gaining, but I'm hoping this group helps me be more accountable. I weigh only 1x week on Sundays, so that's when I'll check in. My 2 goals in 2020 are to not let the scale go above 153 and weigh in EVERY Sunday for the WHOLE YEAR. This seems easy to most, but I get lazy and make excuses why I don't need to weigh in and then all of a sudden everything in my closet has shrunk. LOL
