It was harder to exercise with cramps but I still exercised. You may have to slow down the pace a little if you're hurting or find some alternate, less-strenuous exercise for that time, but I wouldn't go the whole week without exercising unless you're just in too much pain to move.0

i have found that while on my period, i actually lose some of the pms and cramps by working out. so many times i haven't wanted to get on my bike while on my period, but found that after i reached my destination i simply felt better overall.
sometimes i might go a little slower, but i still go. that's the point.
if the shred is too intense, just take a nice walk. it really helps the cramps in general.0 -

No, your period isn't a reason to not work out. But, I know once in a while the first day of it sucks all life out of me. There's nothing wrong with skipping a day and getting that rest. When I've had that crappy energy day, I've just picked up the next day. It's life and that's how it goes.
