Calorie Deficit

In the MyPalFitness App, what is meant by Calorie Deficit?

    The amount of calories you're subtracting from the amount of calories you currently maintain your weight on.

    Example:

    I maintain my weight on 1800 calories per day. If I want to lose 1lb a week, I need to have a 500 calorie deficit.

    So: 1800-500= 1300 calories to eat. This gives me a 500 calorie deficit.
