Is it possible to lose inches in your waist but gain the weight back elsewhere?
Before my wedding (August 2nd) I was 260lbs. When I weighed in this weekend I was 267lbs. My pants are all looser and it no longer pains me to wear my belt on the last notch. In fact, my pants are falling down despite having my belt on as tight as possible. This seems within the realm of possibility that one can lose weight in one area but gain it back elsewhere.
Also it’s definitely not muscle because I don’t work out. I’m not even considering that.

If you felt stressed leading up to the wedding, the increased cortisol could have led to bloating in the belly area.3

Maybe? It was funny when I got my wedding ring fitted before it was made it was falling off. I came back when it was ready and it was too small so we had to make it bigger. After the wedding, my ring is a little loose. Maybe it’s all related?
