Trying to lose 5 pounds per month for the next year

Hello! I am 52 years old, stay at home mom. I have been trying to lose weight, very unsuccessfully, for more than 5 years. I used to be a college athlete - which actually has led to a bevy of overuse injuries. I am only "allowed" to walk anymore. I do LOVE to exercise, but I need to lose weight to make things easier on my knees, back and hips. Tips? Consistency is my enemy. And finding convenient high protein meals.
