Ok, not really. But am going to combine 2 things I can do to improve myself and the environment. :) I've been noticing such an uptick of trash along the roads lately. Heading out today, parking my car at one of the worst places, and walking to pick up trash. So many positives from this, exercise, environment AND it'll keep me out of my kitchen where idle hands seem to find food too easily. Anyone want to join in such a modest easy endeavor?? :)

Great idea! I pick up trash from my church parking lot once a month. This is a great idea because I HATE going on pointless walks 😂. I’m going to try this today. I’m working on getting my step count to 9,000 with a MFP plan. This will help. Don’t forget to wear gloves 🧤

There’s actually a name for this : plogging.

Supposedly based on Swedish words for picking up+jogging.

I put all of the carts back at the grocery store. It's so windy here in the fall and spring that carts fly all over the parking lot into vehicles. Before I go in, I put them all back. I pick up nails in the parking lots, too. I always hope in the back of my mind that someone will do the same for me but pesky tourists are lazy. :p We have a lorra lorra construction with nails falling off of trucks, people moving in like a swarm of locusts. :p:p

You're all awesome for doing things like that!! I think I found my new hobby. :)
I don't know why but people heaving trash out their windows, AND people not taking care of their carts are 2 of my biggest pet peeves.

I took my 40 gal. bag, walked 3/4 mile down the road until the road started getting dangerous(it thins down and people are whipping past at 50), turned around and headed back while picking up every piece of CR@p I could find. That bag was filled to the brim and heavy as he!! by the time I got back to my car. I felt good though. Then I came back past where I'd been and I swear there were half a dozen cans/bottles on the side of the road that were NOT there the first time. :( SMH I just don't get it.
We have a beautiful state, a nice small little town and D!Ckheads don't care. Litter is NOT pretty. Ever. Not to mention all the pieces of plastic, styrofoam and broken glass I picked up made me think of what animals might just try to eat that garbage. But I found $1. Lol
    *sigh* why don't people care??
And YES gloves are a must!! :)

We've been members of our local litter picking group for 3 years now

It's nice to get out, chat with the other members and the general public while getting in steps and improving the community
