How to disguise your overweight body?

I hate looking in the mirror, hate seeing photos of myself, hate standing next to anyone regular sizes, hate walking past stores and seeing myself in the window reflection.
I am male. 315lbs and 6ft 3" tall. Got a giant belly, double chin, fat face, thick gigantic calves, etc.
Even if I lost 100 pounds I would still be a very large person. I was 215 when I was wrestling in high school and 150 in middle school and I was super fit them - athlete - so just big overall.
I wear A LOT of black.
But you can only wear so much black right!
And even then by belly sticks out.
I wear a XXXL which fits tight and XXXL fits too baggy.
What ways have people found to disguise this. Make yourself appear smaller, hide bellies and other body parts, disguise that double or triple chin or man boobs through shirt.

I don't really have any advice about how to hide your weight. I don't really think it's something that works. I'm sorry to hear that you hate seeing yourself. That must be an awful feeling.
I don't think things are as bleak as you're currently viewing them. You say that if you lost 100lbs you'd still be a huge person, when in reality, at your height, you'd be just a little overweight at 215. I started dieting at 284lbs at 5'8”, so we both started out at a similar BMI. I've lost 44lbs so far since April and all I can really say is that every 10lbs makes a noticable difference to how you feel, if not a huge difference in how you look. If I look in a mirror I don't see a major difference yet, but I have people comment about my weight loss, so it's definitely noticeable to other people. I think sometimes we can be our own worst critics.
I hope you start feeling better about yourself. My only advice is to try and stop focusing on how the world outside of your head is perceiving you and try to focus more on how you feel physically and emotionally. If you're here you've already made a good choice towards improving your health. It takes a long time to get where you want to be, but you'll be surprised how much better you'll feel even after losing a few lbs. Good luck. We're rooting for you.8 -
I think its more about wearing clothes that fit nicely then disguising. if you wear oversized clothes thinking you are disguising things you just look bigger and sloppy. too small it looks like you are bursting out of your clothes. if you look nice and smart and are well kept, clean and pressed and you look like you care about your appearance that is what is most important. i see lots of slim men that look like slobs. its not about size. also, never compare yourself to other people. can you go into a big and tall shop and ask a sales person to help you put together a nice outfit or two?

I agree with the previous posters, I don't think it's possible to hide your body, and I am sad that you feel the need to do so. I promise you NO ONE is looking at you as judgmentally as you are seeing yourself. Concentrate on dressing - so nice clothes that fit well, and keep working towards your goals. Being a "large" person is not a bad thing! Many guys would love to be 6'3. And a 100lb loss will take some time, but is well in the realm of doable. But please, love yourself on the way.
Also, in middle school you were still a child.....don't waste any time thinking about what you weighed then. My weight when I was 12 was around 90lbs, and I was swimming competitively, so very fit, but this certainly doesn't influence my goals as an adult! If being fit is something you do aspire to, you have mentioned you are unable to walk/run much, but what about strength training? Feeling stronger and building some muscle may go a long way to improving your self image.5 -
Whatever I thought helped really just helped me mentally. Nothing ever hid anything. I avoided pictures and I did a good job of training myself not to see my reflection. Sometimes I think it made it worse when it was inescapable.
Here is the thing though. I have lost most of your current body weight. I am nearing an initial stopping place. I have not done it through any amazing feats of self discipline or some perpetual state of motivation. I just did a little each day and tried to be as happy as possible doing it. There were days it absolutely sucked but those days were rare. Many days were relatively easy.
Forget about how much you need to lose. You can't do anything about the total sum. You can do something about the little you can lose today. Do your part and then hand yourself over to tomorrow's version of yourself and let him do his part. It will begin to add up pretty quick and your life will begin improving long before you get to whatever weight number you eventually decide is right for you.10
