Logging exercise struggle

When I was fit I would often track my lifting numbers. I used Fitocracy, which now seems to be dead (sadly). While I'm not lifting like I used to yet, I am making an effort to start doing more. Unfortunately I'm finding it difficult to track even simple things with MyFitnessPal! Don't get me wrong- using the calories and nutrient diary is fantastic, and now that I've found the community, I'm starting to love that too. But today I couldn't track my P90X session. I searched the database and it wasnt there... scrolling through the database manually I found it- but then there was no way to add it to my log! I love having reasonable estimations of calories burned etc, so a digital resouce with that would be great for me.
Long story short- do you have tips for using MFP for tracking lifting and exercise? Or is the lack of nuance and system efficiency a THING- and if so, is there another digital resource you use to track?
Thanks everyone!

I track individual weight lifting routines, reps, sets through an app called gymgoal. I then enter a generic “cardio, weight lifting, reasonable number of minutes” in mfp.

I do a bunch of cardio also and have created some custom exercises based on a percentage of the calories that the machines say I do. For example, I have a summit trainer and did not find it when I searched mfp. So I entered it manually and after the first time, the app remembered it so I can use it repeatedly.
