Lean Body Mass vs. Muscle Mass

Can someone explain the difference to me? Both have increased over the past month, but my weight is all over from week to week. I have lost half an inch in my waist and half an inch in my thighs though. I am getting frustrated that the scale is not moving. Am I doing something wrong?

Lean mass is anything that isn't adipose tissue for the most part.
Tendons
Bone
Skin
Muscle
If you're working out your tendons will grow and become stronger. As will your bone density. So you gain a small portion weight from that.
Also if youre gaining almost 1.5lbs of muscle a month. Sell your secret. As women in general struggle to put on 0.5-1lbs a month let alone 3x that much. Whatever you're using to collect that data is more than likely inaccurate.
Theres gym bros who would kill to gain that much a month without packing on the weight.1 -
Sounds like maybe you're using one of those bioimpedence scales at home?
They're notoriously inaccurate. You're probably just dehydrated today. You didn't "gain" that much in muscle.
