Slowing down

As of this morning I’m down 58.2 pounds. I WAS down 61.5 a week ago, but I’ve had a stressful week and wasn’t making the best food choices all the time.

Each time I hit a mini goal on my way to where I think I’d like to end up at, I’ll set a new mini goal. Well this latest mini goal caused me to loose about 140 calories for the days ahead. It doesn’t sound like a lot. But it is when I plan out my food days.

I’ve notice that I don’t make as much progress as I have in the past. Not sure if it was just this last week that threw me off or if I really am slowing down.

I’ve always eaten under my calorie allowance. But with this new allowance. I think I’m going to eat all of them ! Shouldn’t you be in a deficit from what they are giving you ? That will be hard for me if I don’t exercise. Which I really don’t.

Last night I made and packed my work lunch/ snacks. And already added it all into my diary. And I’m coming up with ( I can’t remember ) like 87 calories left for the day 🙀 and that doesn’t include me eating anything but a banana for lunch.

I planned out my breakfast and had to cut it in half cause I would have been over otherwise.

How did you guys adapt to a lower calorie allowance ?

I focused on having foods that were more filling (in general) and made a habit of trying to max out my protein and fiber (in...specific?)

That's what keeps me fuller, longer and with foods I like at any caloric level so far. I've been at this since last December.

Not that you want to get the the habit of earning food through exercise, but if you're able to incorporate more walking into your day then you can eat your 🍌 plus whatever else is reasonable for your goals.

Also, over time you may be able to eat more naturally and still lose weight, body fat, etc. I calculate my TDEE monthly and there's always been an slight increase. My rate of loss has stayed the same though (but I'm planning to slow it down from OCT-DEC as I'm fairly close to goal... which means even more calories)!

It's a numbers game where healthy experimenting and patience prevail. At ~3 pounds and what with your recent experiences, I wouldn't sweat it so much. Stress and sleep play a factor in your health too.
