Help, I'm surrounded by junk

I have been doing very well, I lost 10 lbs in the last 6 weeks. Yesterday, at the bequest of my children, I helped make a batch of cookies (at 200 calories each) and now work is giving away nearly expired bags of chips (400 calories each). This is my weakness, my strategy has been to put as much distance as possible between me that this kind of junk. Now I'm buried in it and I dont know how long I can resist.

The cookie temptation I get. Do you want to have near expired processed food in your stomach though?

For either, perhaps indulge in a partial serving: share a cookie with one of your kids. With the chips, you could have some now and the rest later this week.

I'm sure others will have more strategies for you to consider too.

Welcome to my life! I have 4 boys ranging in age from 11 to 17 and a husband who eats like a teenage boy too. At any given time we have a bowl full of chocolate candy, 5 bags of chips open, a baked good sitting on the counter, 4 or 5 boxes of Little Debbie's and cookies open and ice cream in the freezer! I live in a minefield! Despite this, I've lost 38 lbs and you can too!! Be strong!!

So, personally, if I try to avoid the foods I love, I fail. I will inevitably binge on them and then never stop.

This time around, I have found balance. I do extra cardio to earn my cookies or cake. I bank calories from other meals on other days to have pizza on Saturday night. I eat a smaller portion of the junk than I used to and I track it all. I’ve lost 26 lbs so far. Obviously, there is no one size fits all plan, but just thought I would share what works for me. 😊

You'll always have temptations in life. NO ONE forces you to eat it so really it's a mind over matter thing. IMO, if you're totally depriving yourself of things you like to eat, then eventually you're going to regain your weight. Seen it a million times. Have a cookie. Just don't eat a batch.

I eat ice cream every day. But I only eat a 1/2 cup.
