I have hypothyroidism and currently taking medication. For the past month and a half I have been walking on the treadmill at least 6x per week and strength exercise 3x per week. I’m currently on a 1200 calorie diet. I have lost 13 pounds but I cannot get rid of my belly fat. I do not know what to do to get rid of it. Can someone give me some advice! Thank you!

What's your current weight and height? The most probable explanation is that you still have a bit of fat to lose, either by weight loss or recomposition (which is maintaining weight while slowly increasing muscle mass).

Most people find that belly fat is the first to add, and the last to leave. I don't think hypothyroidism is especially relevant here. (I'm pretty severely hypothyroid myself, have been for almost 20 years, but am medicated to normal blood markers. Belly fat? Last to go. I'm around BMI 21 right now, 5'5", mid 120s pounds, not entirely devoid of muscle . . . still have some belly fat. 😆)

I can’t speak to the thyroid issues, but you can’t specifically lose weight from a specific area. I’ve lost 30 pounds and I still look like I’m 5 months pregnant. Just keep working at it and it will come off eventually!
