Fitbit does not update steps to MFP

My fitbit does not sync my steps to MFP. MFP does sync the foods I add. I have did the uninstall, reinstall steps and will only update steps on initial resync up. Not sure what to do. Would love to use the programs as they were intended. Anyone have any advice on what I can try that worked for others?

Mine has not synced for a couple of years now .... I just input my walk in exercise and call it a day
