Hey everyone. I need some feedback on a seed of an idea that I have been working on. I've recently discovered a sustainable diet that has been working wonders and I want to share it with anyone who will listen. I call it the Anabolic Diet. I didn't create it and I will not take credit for it. It's a common sense diet that incorporates all food groups into low calorie dense foods. It involves small changes to traditional foods such as french toast, pancakes, pizza, ice cream, sandwiches, wraps, salads and much much more. It is sustainable, affordable, great tasting, and very filling.
My goal is to help others free of charge. Start a website and a community based on results and not misconceptions. Maybe even start a non profit organization dedicated to help people lose weight and maintain it for life. This help should not cost anything and the only profit is your health. I've been developing a passion to help people that it's turning into a hobby. I have not reached my goal weight yet since I'm still a work in progress. I started at 310 pounds with a current weight of 226 with a goal of 180 which is a normal weight for my height. I'm not a doctor, I'm not a dietician, I'm not a fitness coach, in fact I've been to the gym once or twice in my life. I don't know anything and I'm not educated. I firmly believe that weight loss happens in the kitchen and fitness happens in the gym. No matter how many miles you can run, or how much weight you can lift we are all an injury away from not having any physical activity and this is when the proper diet comes in to play. All I do know is that I used to be morbidly obese and now I'm not. The thing is that I don't feel like I'm dieting because I'm always full and rarely get hungry because the food I eat has so much volume yet low in calories, nutritous, and delicious. I tried to overeat on my diet and it's physically difficult to consume more food when you are full. Personally I tried Keto, Vegan, fasting, diet pills, and they all work because usually there is a calorie deficit. The problem is that it's hard to stick to them since they all involve food group restrictions and eventually willpower goes away and most regain the weight back because they over eat the food they were restricted from. My diet has no restrictions only basic principles that can teach people ways to lose weight without going hungry. A doctor who has never been morbidly obese will NEVER understand how intensely hungry a person that size gets. I do. I know how it feels but I figured out how to bake my cake, eat it, not gain weight, and not feeling bad after I eat it.
My goal is to reach as many people as possible and help them lose weight. When they see results that are sustainable they can do the same for others. For now this just an idea but eventually I want to establish a transparent donation system based on results. If you lose weight and are able to maintain that weight based off the principles that I'm promoting then a simple thank you is more than enough for me! I want the resources to reach as many people as possible. I want to start a social media presence and using those platforms to reach even more people. I used to have high blood pressure and my diabetes out of control. I'm currently off all medications since after dropping the weight my doctor couldn't believe how quickly I regressed. He said that as long as I keep doing what I'm doing that I'll be ok. I don't want money I want resources. Resources that will give me the time and a platform to reach even more people. First I'll probably start a webpage where I can't post some recipes and I can explain in more detail the principles of the diet.
So my question: Is it a good idea or is it a bad idea? Any feedback good or bad is crucial so please be brutally honest.
