Knees are popping but I can't stop working out!!!!

Any suggestions????? I am making some major progress but my knees are popping and starting to ache now and then. I don't want to quit working out. On week 3 of BB and I am toning up and slimming down I don't want to quit. I have been told that I need to keep pushing myself because my knees are weak and this will help and I have been told stop now before I ruin my knees.

    I have bad knees and they were popping. Turns out my meniscus pad in my knee was torn.
    If you ignore it, It can get a lot worse.

    Get thee to a doctor. they'll do xrays and whatnot decide if you have something serious or not. recommend you to a physical therapist who will tell you what kind of exercise is safe for your knees.

    you don't want to mess with your knees.
  • STOP. See a doctor and (if relevant) get a prescription for physical therapy. Your health insurance will likely cover the cost and you'll be able to keep bending your knees as you get old.

    I ignored that advice along the way - played through the pain, because I'm tough - and now have little cartilage left. Although I'm still fit, I'm doomed to hack squats and Romanian dead lifts, for life.

    Love your knees. Treat them like $@%# and they'll make you pay for it the rest of your life.

    You should see an orthopedist that specializes in sports medicine.
