how to avoid bad food addiction ?

hi
you know depression and sometime i seek high calories delicious food to relief
but i hv addictive personality i easily be addictive to stuff
i was addictive to soda i was drinking everyday and in high amount until i decided to stop it all from months ago
i am now addictive to crunchy chickens everyday or another i order it
the more worse i become depressed if i donot eat it
should i stop it all like soda
but it relief depression i hv sometime
and we all eat delicious food sometime
but i have addictive personality and depression
what is the right thing to do in this case ?

    i dont think there is treatment
    but i seriously think to stop it all and have alternatives

    There is certainly treatment for the mental issues causing the behavior and you should seek it.

    There is treatment. Mental health issues are not something you want to deal with alone. Trust me I have been there and done that. Check with your primary care or the local health department for referrals.

    You say you decided to stop from soda, and you did it, so how? why not use the same reasoning to stop from any other food you become addicted to?

    There is definitely treatment. Are you in the US? Many mental health providers are now offering tele-health, which I find very convenient.

    Under normal circumstances, I find regular exercise crucial to my mental health.

    These days I need more help and am in therapy.

    I say don't. And would you go so far to call it an addiction vs just simply a habit? I used to drink a lot of soda. I've lost 30+ pounds and I've made tweaks: I buy the mini size cans because I've realized I treat a mini can the same way I treat a normal can or 20 oz bottle, as one serving.
