Starting Again

Hi everyone. Just started using MFP again. I've used it in the past and managed to loose 2stone, and then came the lockdown. I have my own bar & restaurant business, so I took the lockdown pretty bad. I had days when I didn't leave the house and I just sat around. I would have breakfast, coffee & biscuits about 10:00, lunch, then Tea & Cakes at 3:00, dinner then maybe a snack and a few beers. I kept that up for about 6 weeks. You will never believe it, but I put on weight ??? Eventually I gave my self a kick up the bum and started walking each day and I stopped smoking. But I was still eating cakes & biscuits. Soon my business opened up again, at least there would be something to do and I could be busy again. I got that wrong, people are still afraid to come out to eat and drink. Then, last week, I thought, " come on don't blame everything on Covid. Loosing weight is easy ???? burn off more than you take in"
So, as of Monday, its a new start. I have decided to retire ( on the 27th October), close the business, eat healthy, loose weight and get fitter. By the way, I live in North Yorkshire in U.K. I am 70 years old and I have just over 2stone to loose.
Bags of motivation right now. Its when the motivation isn't there that things get hard, and thats when I will need support from this community.

    Hi there. This is my second round with MFP. I too have been in lock down since my employer has allowed us to work from home until Jan 2021. I too just started walking again and I am starting to feel better. I hope you continue with your goal. Please add me as a friend if you want. I could always use motivation. Thank you and stay safe!
