HAHA Yeah I made a thread and OMG , shouldn't have done that!!! lol got my venting done, handled it professionally, time to move on!!! People can be so rude on here sometimes, or not very understanding, but if they were in my shoes, they'd feel the same way! lol

Nothing really just chilling out at work. Wife's car wouldn't start this morning, so we are probably gonna need a new battery. On a lighter note, I think I may actually get to brew some beer on Saturday if they don't find me any patients for Saturday night

Aww that sucks!!! Was it making a clicking sound when you tried to turn they key in the ignition? I'm sure it wouldn't be too bad if it's just the battery, it is definitely an inconvenience though, and I hate spending money when I don't want too!!! lol

Brew some beer huh? I need to try that lol

That wouldn't have helped me. I had to watch her during the day and then come to work tonight.

So you did not sleep at all? You would be more of a danger that way. You have to sleep. Why were you not able to get any sleep?

Well I mean I slept all night from around 130am until 930am. But then once I was awake I had to take care of her because my wife was at work an there was noone else to watch her.

8 hours of sleep is a dream for most graveyard folk bro.

I try hard to make sure I can sleep at least 8 hours, but I try too not to over sleep since night audit does that too me i could be awake for like 2 days at a time then crash for like 16-20 hours! not good, so i always say when working ove rnight if you don't have a routine then your sleep is going to be messed up!!!

Oh, I don't miss the days of trying to work overnights and sleep during the day with a little one. Not everyday now but most of them I get at least 5-6 hours of sleep now that my daughter is in high school and can amuse/mind herself for a little bit after school. But I still remember what it was like to only average 2-3 hours of sleep a day before she went to school. It gets better guys : )

Haha @ your night shift roll call last night. Not like addis. Now I know I have been on the MFP forums too much when my name comes up and I am not even around

You can't imagine how many times I've been called a vampire, lol. I've been working overnights for more than 16 years now and while it works as far as taking care of my daughter, it's proved hard on relationships and friendships.

That's why you have to form a relationship with other graveyarders. If you both stay up all night, then it would be the perfect social fit
