Hello Everybody,
I have discovered that being isolated in a house with a fabulous kitchen and a love for food can be a danger to my waist. Time for a new strategy to combat Covid and the battle of the Bulge. My two adult children are having success with myfitnesspal, so I'm all in.

Itβs a really great site, both for the practicalness of it but also for the support and encouragement. Welcome π0

One advantage we have with more years on the meter (I'm 64) is that we tend to understand ourselves pretty well, and have a history of figuring out how to use our strengths and weaknesses to accomplish goals. MFP can be a great tool, to help with that.
Being retired may have some advantages, too: More control over our own schedule/priorities, and (especially during Covid) control over our eating and exercise. I was already retired when I lost weight with MFP, and have used the time of Covid to lose a few vanity pounds in maintenance: Less temptation now from social events, restaurant meals, brewpubs, and the like. π
Wishing you much success here!0
