Hello Everybody,
I have discovered that being isolated in a house with a fabulous kitchen and a love for food can be a danger to my waist. Time for a new strategy to combat Covid and the battle of the Bulge. My two adult children are having success with myfitnesspal, so I'm all in.

It’s a really great site, both for the practicalness of it but also for the support and encouragement. Welcome 😊

One advantage we have with more years on the meter (I'm 64) is that we tend to understand ourselves pretty well, and have a history of figuring out how to use our strengths and weaknesses to accomplish goals. MFP can be a great tool, to help with that.

Being retired may have some advantages, too: More control over our own schedule/priorities, and (especially during Covid) control over our eating and exercise. I was already retired when I lost weight with MFP, and have used the time of Covid to lose a few vanity pounds in maintenance: Less temptation now from social events, restaurant meals, brewpubs, and the like. πŸ˜†

    Wishing you much success here!
