Gastric sleeve

My orthopedic doctor wants me to have gastric sleeve surgery I’ve been trying to lose with diet and exercise but not losing very much not sure if this is a good way to go

    Why would an orthopedic suggest such a thing? What does your primary care physician think? I would consult them first.

    Because I have knee problems had 1 knee replaced and will need the other one done but the Veterans hospital won’t allow it at my current weight and I informed my PC and she is starting the process but must go to through the Moves program ( weight loss program) then she can put in a referral but that takes 6 months

    Ah. I get it. So losing weight by cutting calories is not working for you. Ugh.
