Does Fitnespal count total carbs or net carbs? Can it be set to count net carbs pls?

I believe there is a new net carb feature available for premium memberships. By default it counts total carbs and you just need to subtract the fiber to get the net. You can do this easily by changing your display columns in your diary to include fiber and get rid of something you do not need to track.

Just to add to that, it depends on what entries you use. If they are US entries (or Canadian), which include the best whole food entries in the database, which come from the USDA, then they are total carbs. If you use the premium feature, I believe it automatically subtracts the fiber on the entry from the carbs on the entry. You can easily do that yourself, as Novus mentions.

However, if you use entries from a country that has net carbs on labels already, you will already be logging net carbs, and subtracting the fiber will give you an incorrect number.

Like I said, if you are in the US or Canada, that's not really a concern (although all entries should be checked for accuracy anyway, the first time you use them), but if you are in another country it's something to be careful about.
