Yes I wanted to write on here that I am loosing weight. I wanted to write about it in hopes that it may help others who are always asking: WHATS WRONG WITH ME?

MY JOURNEY... in short story version!

First I started jogging short distances.
Second I found MFP and started logging
Third I cut out all processed foods that I can (I have teen boys and I love them with food)- This is hard for me not keep doing!
Fourth I bought scales and started measuring everything.
Fifth I got myself a HRM and put it on to see just how hard I had to push myself to burn what I was logging!
The outcome of all that is I have had bad days.... I have even had more than one bad day in a row. LOL All I do is keep going, keep measuring and keep logging. I have lost more weight than my ticker says I lost about 20 pounds all together! I have met what I wanted to meet for my short term goal... But 3 weeks ago I began lifting weights... SO another journey has begun!
So my question.. would be any advice on lifting weights for a very new beginner? How often do I change up? What about the bands.. does anyone use them instead of free weights? .. BTW... I use what I have and I have free weights, one bar, a ball, and some foam rollers! Don't forget my handy Elliptical!

I usually take two weeks to get comfortable with a weight, then add ten pounds, sometimes five depending on exercise.. You'll more likely want to add five, or even two since lifting is a little different than women. I don't use bands, I have nothing against them, I just don't incorporate them. Lift heavy. If you can do more than ten reps with ease, it's too light, if you can't do 5 reps, too heavy. That's pretty much it, make sure you're getting plenty of protein and have fun.
