I'd love it if anyone could share some healthy recipes for a large family. We are a family of 8 (6 kids). I want us to all start eating better while still having delicious meals.
I cook every night but I grew up learning to cook that southern comfort food so lots of fried crap, heavy sauces and gravy, meat and potatoes kinda things.

Well there isn’t anything unhealthy about meat and potatoes. And you can even eat those sauces and gravies for weight loss purposes you just need to be in a deficit.

For health, bake instead of frying and choose healthier ingredients. I don’t really cook (I bake chicken breaded in shake n bake and then make a packaged rice side or one of those steamable potatoe things). But, if cooking is your thing, there are millions of healthy recipes via google 😊

Chili, soups, casseroles, I make kids burgers and they choose the veggies, and more

Our house has 5 kids and 2 adults, one of our go to meals is spaghetti. We use whole wheat pasta, and ground turkey. Plus read the labels for the sauce, some have alot of sugar others don't. The kids also like taco salad, I use ground turkey with low sodium taco seasoning, everyone picks their own salad fixings with a little salsa and fat free sour cream on top. You can also break up some shells and use as chips with the salad.
