Trans tips

Hey! I'm Link (FTM), and I just joined this app! I want to lose my hips and hourglass figure so I feel less dysphoria. I haven't started T yet. Any tips? Dont bother saying transphobic stuff in the comments.

Getting on T will help your body redistribute fat into a more masculine configuration, but it's not really possible to "spot-reduce" a specific area in terms of fat loss. And if Apollo got drunk when he made you and accidentally gave you a feminine pelvis, well, you might always just be a little bootylicious; therapy can help you make your peace with it, if you aren't already working on that.
You might look into strength training to build muscle, particularly in your upper half. Getting on T will make that a little easier, too, although I've seen AFAB people build some impressive upper-body mass without being on hormones. It'll take work, for sure, but it's not impossible.
Assuming you bind, do not work out with your binder on. It's not made for that, you risk hurting yourself. If a properly-supportive, underwired sports bra is too dysphoria-inducing for you, stick to lower-impact workouts that you can do either without supportive undergarments or with those little elastic sports bras that are like binders but stretchier, so it's safe to work out in them.8 -
Wow! You're so nice! Thank you so much!
