Anyone using a food scale with a platform big enough to where a 10” dinner plate doesn’t cover up the readout or tare button?

Our Oxo scale pulls out the display to allow for larger items. It looks like they still sell one like it (although the price is more than I paid 5 or so years ago).2

If you already have a scale with a small platform, put a suitable-sized lightweight bowl on the platform, and put your plate on that, to create viewing room.6

I weigh in something smaller and then transfer.1

I set the plate back a bit so that I can read the display. Or weigh in something else and transfer. But usually the former.2

As above, I set the plate back a little so I can see the read out.2

Lots of great ideas here! We got the pull out display Oxo scale originally because we sold a lot on eBay and needed to weigh large packages. It comes in handy now for weighing food, but I love all the creative solutions.0
