Eating before or after workout?

Should I eat breakfast before I work out or after I work out? I work out in the morning before I eat breakfast and I work out again at night after I eat dinner (about an hour or so after) Does it matter? I am getting conflicting advice from friends. Thanks

Do whatever suits you best.
I'd be more concerned that you're working out twice a day, which could be a little excessive, depending on what your workouts are.0 -
When you eat doesn't matter in terms of weight loss. The only affect it has it how it makes you feel. If you feel better during your workout if you've eaten beforehand, then do that, if you feel better working out fasted, then do that.0

For me it all depends on when I do the work out, what I am working out that day and what I need to help me with that work out.
on early morning sessions if i am focusing more on cardio than heavy days (like leg day) I dont eat and do fasted cardio
on leg day I eat a brown rice cake with almond butter before, do the heavy weights first then finish with light cardio
it all is personal preference, you dont HAVE to eat at any particular time0 -
For me... Strength Trg: ~100 good carb cals 45-60 minutes before and protein after. Cardio: fast before and protein (few carbs too) after. I'm a morning exerciser so may be a little easier for me to control this issue.0

I eat after my workouts as I feel sick if I eat before.0
