Mercury in Fish

I'm curious to see what everyone's thoughts are on mercury in fish. Over the last few months I have decreased my meat intake and am trying to eat cleaner. I am going to start lifting at the end of the year and am trying to eat a more protein rich diet. I started thinking about mercury in fish and wonder if this is something I should be concerned with.

Depends on the type of fish.

TL;DR

The longer a fish lives, and the higher it is on the food chain, the more mercury it has. You can eat salmon pretty much all day every day and be fine, however.

My strict policy is never to add mercury to my fish. I limit it to a little salt and pepper, and maybe some lemon.

I've been a pescatarian for over 15 years, eat fish easily 3-4 times a week.
Mercury is not a concern in the least.
Unless you're eating a couple of cans of tuna a day I wouldn't sweat it.

TLDR: A normal person can eat a can of tuna a day for a year and be fine. Three cans a day for a month will make you loopy, but your lifts will be awesome.
